If the casino was such a good thing, why the need to grease the skids?

Local blogger Kathy Carpenter notes a second associate of original Kenosha casino developer Dennis Troha has, like Troha, cut a plea deal with federal prosecutors over illegal campaign contributions.

This raises a darn good question: If the casino project is so good for Kenosha, why the need for any political grease? You'd think a good politician would be on board anyway.

Or...just perhaps...maybe it isn't so good.
