Three pieces of good news

Tonight the Pleasant Prairie Village Board will present a lifesaving award to Officer Peter Jung of the Pleasant Prairie Police Department.

Late last week Lt. Mark Hunter was awarded the Lee and Lynn Copen Family Justice Award by Women and Children’s Horizons.

Both of these officers are well known for doing "more than the minimum" and it's nice to see their dedication and hard work recognized and acknowledged.

The village itself was also ranked one of the best places to retire by U.S. News and World Report.

With a long agenda and almost certain controversy over a proposed property tax increase, the Kenosha News might overlook these accomplishments. Let's hope they don't.
