Typically the village board meetings the first and third Mondays of the month at 6:30 p.m. but as of Friday night there was no meeting notice or agenda posted on the village web site:
The proposed 2008 village budget will come up for a vote at the November 19th meeting but it would not be surprising to see spirited comments about the proposed 5% village tax increase.
So far the factions which don't see eye-to-eye with the incumbent village government have been fairly quiet but don't expect that to last for long. Former trustee Alex Tiahnybok recently wrote a critical letter to the Kenosha News (which has its own battle going on with village hall). Perhaps Alex is gearing up for another run for the village board.
As said here before, the proposed tax hike may be needed but it will no doubt still be a hard sell.
