...it's to cover up the air below.
I know I promised no politics today. But this was too weird to ignore:
WASHINGTON (Aug. 2) - John Edwards criticized Democratic rival Hillary Rodham Clinton on Thursday for taking more than $20,000 in donations from News Corp. officials, arguing that the company's Fox News Channel has a right-wing bias and Democrats should avoid the company.
Reality check: This is still the United States. Rupert Murdoch and his friends are free to donate their money, within the bounds of the law, to any candidate of their choice. Hillary Clinton (or any other candidate) is free to accept those contributions.
To be fair, John Edwards has the right to say what he wants. But doesn't it make more sense to address the critical issues of the 2008 campaign?
On second thought, maybe a candidate's failure to address the critical issues is a critical issue.
